WELCOME TO
SPRING IS COMING
ABOUT US
For many in Europe, it’s a dark and cold winter as energy prices, food prices, rents and mortgages are rising even as inflation makes our paychecks worth less. The cost of living crisis is making it harder for four out of every five Europeans to make ends meet. In response, governments and businesses are proposing new rounds of austerity, evictions, credit collapse, unemployment and cuts to public services, while those who created the conditions for this crisis – fossil fuel companies – doubled their profits in 2022. Now, the fossil fuel industry is lobbying Europe to respond to this crisis by deepening its addiction to imported fossil fuels and the geopolitical volatility they bring.
But we have a better idea….
Let’s not just stop this crisis – let’s prevent the next one.
Lets build permanent solutions not just to the symptoms of this crisis, but to its cause. Lets stop rising temperatures and rising costs of living by building an economy powered by local, renewable and democratic energy.

24-26 March – Power to the People
Conference26-29 – Days of Action
At the European Gas Conference all the big European Gas Companies from Shell and OMV to Enagás will come together to discuss with politicians and financial institutions behind closed doors about the future of our energy system! So we will do our own Power to the People conference to discuss how we want to organize! The Power to the People Conference will be followed by direct mass action against the European Gas Conference.
Let’s crash this fossil champagne party!

Right to Housing and the City: Week of Action 25th March – 2nd April
From the 25th of March until the 2nd of April 2023, we will take the streets all over Europe for the right to housing, the right to the city and to denounce the skyrocketing, suffocating cost of living.
Become a part of it: organise, mobilise and join the #HAD2023 in your city!
We, the European Action Coalition for the right to housing and to the city (EAC), are calling for a long week of coordinated actions all over Europe. In the context of drastically rising costs of living, exploding rents and energy bills that are deepening the already existing housing crises, we stand against the neoliberal institutions and policies that benefit private accumulation instead of the people. By promoting policies of gentrification, commodification of housing, privatisation of public space and touristification, they are attacking us and we have to fight back.
